Fairy Tale Event
On Thursday 27th February, the LRC World Book Day, Fairy Tale event took place in the Enterprise Lounge. The theme, which had been chosen by a student vote, was used to create a magical event which 400 students attended.
We had stalls from Hospitality & Catering, Beauty, Land, English, Youth Centre Team, Job Smart, Alternative Learning and our own LRC stalls. Where you could make fairy wishes, wands, button pictures, decorate tea lights, dance like a prince or princess, write stories, view beautiful art work, have magical makeovers, buy fabulous cakes, meet Reptiles and Amphibians from our on-site animal centres, try your aim in a throwing game, take selfies and win prizes from a tombola which raised £62.50 for Starlight, our chosen charity for this event.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this event a success. From the staff and students who helped with the preparation in the lead up to the event, all the staff and students who ran stalls, and students from the Student Union who gave up their time to welcome staff and students to the event. Thank you also to everyone who came along and joined in.
